NETA ACCREDITATIONTechnical Diagnostic Services Training Institute, a division of Technical Diagnostic Services, is certified by the InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA), an accredited standards developer for the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and defines the standards by which electrical equipment is deemed safe and reliable. Important note: Training institutes and equipment manufacturers often advertise “certification” in specific areas. No matter what the promotional literature may say, these programs provide certificates of completion and not a true certification of competency. Such “certifications” do not meet the government’s definition of a qualified certification. For a technician to be truly certified, this person must meet criteria concerning work history, and education in addition to successfully completing an independently proctored examination. Most training companies offering “certification” only verify that they have observed a person performing a task and that the instructor has given an exam. A one-week training program cannot provide the experience needed for competency — that takes years of field experience. Source: NETA Test Technician Certification or Other Certifications - What's the Difference? NETA’s Continuing Technical Development (CTD) program requiring ongoing credits for NETA Certified Technicians recognizes the following Technical Diagnostic Services's course(s) for NETA CTD credit: Course Title: Advanced Protective Relay Testing & Maintenance Course Title: Basic Protective Relay Testing & Maintenance Course Title: Electrical Print Reading Course Title: Fault Location and Cable Testing Course Title: Industrial Electrical Safety – OSHA Course Title: Industrial Electricity Course Title: Low and Medium Voltage Circuit Breaker Testing and Maintenance Course Title: Substation Testing & Maintenance I Course Title: Substation Testing & Maintenance II Course Title: Transformer Testing and Maintenance |
