TDS Proves Commitment to Environmental Responsibilities

clean air company

Technical Diagnostic Services (TDS) has provided start-up and commissioning services for hundreds of power plants, switchyards, and substations since 1993. TDS provides  complete Turnkey start-up and commissioning, initial project scoping, start-up management for staff and key-positions, testing coordination, operational support and more.  In addition to TDS’ unparalleled service is a commitment to the safety of the environment with our support of retrofit Air Quality Control Systems.

TDS works with the major Utilities, OEM, Construction and Engineering Firms that purchase, design, erect and deliver Air Quality Control Systems (AQCS) and implements advance technology to reduce emissions while maintaining the reliability of these systems. As stringent environmental regulations are enacted, technologies have been devised to reduce emissions from pollutants:

  • Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) is one of the most cost-effective combustion emissions control technologies available. It can reduce nitrogen oxide emissions (NOX) more than 90%.
  • Wet Flue Gas Desulfurization (WFGD) refers to wet scrubbers that enhance the absorption of sulfur dioxide (SO2). Wet scrubbers perform better than dry scrubbers; they have more than 90% removal efficiency.
  • Mercury and Air Toxics Standard (MATS) were established to set emission limitation standards for mercury and other toxic air pollutants.

TDS performs design reviews, pre-commissioning, and commissioning and startup services for AQCS Projects.

Clients include:

  • Salt River Project
  • Zachry
  • Black & Veatch
  • Sargent & Lundy
  • El Paso Electric

TDS remains at the forefront of new technologies that not only improve performance and increase the reliability of equipment and services but also lower our Client’s environmental footprint. With start-up and commissioning services for Air Quality Control Systems, TDS continues its commitment to provide quality staff and service to customers at affordable rates, while maintaining dedication to achieving a cleaner environment.
